Not to unduly polarize, but there are those determined to succeed; and others- well they are just not interested and that is a bitter pill to swallow. Another acceptable truth is: we all grow up with dreams but only a few people get to see them come true. With that said, what are your chances of basking in a bright future?
It is easy to be discouraged, by nasty comments, circumstance, and even self-consciousness. So, it is logical to interrogate oneself; as to whether one is doing justice to the envisioned, future self? A self that is expectant but still striking in every favourable sense of the word.
What is a bright future? In literal terms it is dreams coming true – where every desire is realised in HD and 3D. Realistically, some people are content with a “comfortable, middle class life”; unfortunately, others don’t even reach such, let alone the heights they planned to. For instance, qualified people who cannot get the job that they studied for, have to settle for any paying job.
Doing enough doesn’t always mean that you’ll get the bright future you want, especially if you cannot seize opportunities. A varsity student for example: he/she may do well in class but have no social skills – thereby losing a job opportunity after failing the interview.
“Enough” isn’t only about the actual work you are doing, but much more. The company you keep, the coping mechanisms suitable for you, the recreational activities you partake in etc. All these can contribute to a bright future… or dark days ahead. Not all contributing factors are positive, you can keep bad company and cope by over-indulging in unhealthy behaviour.
Therefore, the daily choices one makes accumulate to one’s year and so on – as many have claimed. It is truly possible, as multitudes seem to know and have seen.
