Fashion Freed

“Fashion is a language spoken freely”

While others are keeping up with the Kardashians, we like to keep up with the hottest, relevant fashion movements in the country, not like Runway, we prefer Your-Way.

Vibe SA Fashion Freed Expo 2019

Was held on the 19th of October 2019 at Republic of 94 Braamfontein, Johannesburg and featuring Performances by the likes of Adam Best, Baby Boy Maejor & Banjo, Stoney Waters, SuadeXslxww, Ketrus Levibe, and amongst the guest we had Recording artist and producer Santic Mlaza including fashion showcases by Vicsion, I Only Date Models, Raindrop Apparel, and G-Wear Clothing.

Vibe SA Fashion Freed Expo is one of the few shows that embraces raw South African talent from all different segments. It managed to bring together Fashion, Entertainment and Lifestyle in one setting. As the first of its kind, we got to witness the underdogs of South African fashion design, but the local talent did not just end there, the show also featured proudly African models and performing acts. It is no lie that every event has its short comings as just like any other host we had to deal with a few, however the show must go on. Highlights of the show were the different designs by Victor Galeboe (Vicsion), Kgabo Moloto (I Only Date Models), Tebogo Mamba (RainDrop Apparel) and Thando Buthelezi (G-Wear) Models and performances, all proudly Young, Gifted and Black.

Fortunately, this one show is the first of many with promises of bigger, better and more raw talent upliftment. In future, the expectation is that big brands will also want to use the channel to showcase for the public and even more so, the very same designers will find ways to uplift and spot talents from the young groups of designers. As Vibe SA we look to empower every person who says they want to join the movement and be a part of the greater future.

“The Fashion show was awesome, laid back with interactive models that made you feel like you are wearing the clothes or better yet, made you want to go them now!” Santic Mlaza, Recording artist and producer.
“Mission Accomplished” Lebogang Mogorosi, Fashion lover,
“Fashion Freed, a brilliant way to bring together designers, models and fashion lovers in one atmosphere to create awareness of local talent and creatives.” Thando Buthelezi Fashion Designer, G-Wear
“the show was a great encounter for undiscovered local brands to showcase their garments while giving the models a platform to show off their talent.” Tebogo Mamba, Fashion Designer, RainDrop Apparel.
“breath taking and fun” Tshepo Lubisi, photographer
